Evlin Fuentes

Evlin has over 14 years of experience in marketing, business development, strategic planning, and operations in the hotel, restaurant, IT, telecom, retail, marketing services, public relations, education and training services industries. She has worked with varied organizations that range from entrepreneurial, family businesses, SMEs, not-for-profit organizations, to global publicly-listed conglomerate. Evlin is a graduate of the University of the Philippines and, currently, a candidate for MA-PhD in Organizational Development at the Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Institute (SAIDI) . Dr.Cyril Jankoff

 

Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, B Business (Accountancy), LLB, Grad Dip Taxation, MBA, EdD, FCPA (Taxation) FAIM,CEO, Director and Founder of Business Education and Consulting Pty LtdTraining and educating since 1985.

Cyril Jankoff is a corporate trainer and business educator whose experience and expertise are well rounded and balanced by his contributions and accomplishments in corporate business, entrepreneurship, government service, training and the academe.

Cyril’s Doctor of Education dissertation at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT, Australia) was entitled the "Professional Development of Family Business Advisers". He was selected to be a speaker in the area of Family Business at two prestigious international conferences in 2002: the 6th World Conference of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) held in July 2002 in Australia and the 13th Annual Family Business Network World Conference held in September 2002 in Finland. He spoke in Toronto at the 2003 Annual family Firm conference.
Cyril is licensed as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and holds the Fellowship designation specialising in taxation. He is a Registered Tax Agent (Australia). Mr. Jankoff was admitted to the Victorian Supreme Court as a Barrister and Solicitor (Victoria, Australia) and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria (Australia). He is a Fellow Member Australian Institute of Management.

Since 1985, Cyril has designed, written and developed a number of modules for undergraduate and graduate level subjects. The subjects covered are in the areas of Small Business, Privately Owned Business Management, Law, Management, Accounting, Finance, Corporate Fraud, Family Business, Income Tax, the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) and academic research. These were developed and delivered while he served as sessional lecturer at universities (Central Queensland, Deakin, Griffith, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Swinburne), training organisations and professional bodies. This occurred simultaneously as he ran his business consulting practice. The subjects were taught and delivered throughout Australia, South East Asia and Oceania. He has likewise written distance-learning materials as well as contributed to the development of textbook materials for subjects in taxation and law. Cyril’s articles and contribution on Australian GST issues and updates have been published in several newspapers and periodicals all over Australia. He is also on the Law Institute of Victoria and CPA Australia education committees.


 
Susan S. Lara

 

Susan S. Lara has won recognition for her literary works, including the National Book Award from the Manila Critics’ Circle for her collection Letting Go and Other Stories, published by the University of the Philippines Press; the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature for her short story “The Reprieve”; and the Focus Literary Awards for three short stories: “Old and Unborn”; “The Edge of Innocence”; and “Letting Go.” “The Reprieve” also has the distinction of being included in The Best Philippine Short Stories of the Twentieth Century edited by the eminent literary critic Dr. Isagani R. Cruz.

Ms. Lara majored in English and Comparative Literature at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. She attended the International Writing Program of the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, U.S.A. In 1999 she won a British Council grant to attend the Seminar on Contemporary British Writing at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K. She has delivered lectures on literature, the writing life and the craft of fiction and nonfiction at the University of Iowa, University of the Philippines, Silliman University, University of the East, among others. 

She also holds a TESL (Teaching of English as a Second Language) certificate from the University of Cambridge in U.K.
She conducts seminars on Business English as well as workshops in fiction and nonfiction writing. She regularly sits in the panel of critics at annual national writers workshops in Silliman University, De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University.
